Mellerstain House

This beautiful couple from Watford had an amazing Sikh-Christian fusion wedding, with Mellerstain House as the dramatic backdrop. Get Knotted has built up considerable experience in organising Asian weddings, and we were delighted that the bride was impressed with our knowledge of Sikh traditions!

The wedding started on the Friday night with the Choora ceremony with all the family involved, and on the big day, London and Manchester caterers Payal provided mouth-watering canapes and drinks, followed by an outstanding meal cooked fresh in clay ovens in outdoor gazebos. Wedding festivities continued into the evening with DJ Bobby Singh from GTown Desi, who played a great mix of Banghra and British music and got everyone dancing.

The civil ceremony was held in the Music Room at Mellerstain House, and guests stayed in nearby accommodation on the estate. The lovely Mellerstain parklands and lake looked their springtime best, and the photos of everyone in their colourful saris were just gorgeous!
